Below is a list of programs in the Park City area that may of interest to middle schoolers. When we learn of new programs, we'll add them to the bottom of the page, so check back for updates. All of these programs are FREE. You do not need to sign up. Just show up and join the fun!
Throwback Tuesdays- 7pm
Please join us for our weekly #TBT Throwback Tuesday Movie Series in conjunction with our friends at the Park City Film Series every Tuesday night. Movies and popcorn are provided FREE of charge.

Coco Outdoors- 7/14 dusk
The Park City Film Series, Basin Recreation, and the Park City Library are partnering together to provide and outdoor screening of Coco (in Spanish) at Aspen Villas (1847 Kearns Blvd)!
Author Workshop 7/21 @ 2pm
Local Author Bobbie Pyron, author of 5 books for children and young adults, will discuss her life and writing. She will also lead some writing exercises for participants.
Summer Slide 7/15 1pm
Come to our Fourth Annual “Summer Slide Party. Kids get to slip and slide, make huge bubbles, enjoy a water balloon fight, and get creative while parents can learn about the dreaded summer slide.
Virtual Reality for Youth, Wednesdays @ 4pm
Come explore the world of possibilities in Virtual Reality! We will check out a variety of games and virtual experiences.
Minecraft Club Thursdays @ 4pm
Kids can learn problem solving skills through Minecraft, the video game phenomenon of the decade. Even better, kids can also craft their social skills by working together on projects and completing challenges.
Paws To Read- Tuesdays @ 4pm
We invite young readers-in-training (ages 5-12) to improve their reading skills by readin to a therapy dog. Each 15-minute session will include a child, parent or guardian, a dog handler and a licensed therapy dog.
Jim Gill- 8/18 1:30pm & 3pm
Sing, clap, dance and sneeze with award-winning musician & author Jim Gill. Jim’s distinctive music-play creates the spirit of a family room & is an invitation to children, parents, & grandparents to play together!
Park City MARC & Recreation
Park City Recreation offers numerous summer camps, as well as a fee reduction program. The Park City Play magazine provide a complete overview of Park City recreation programs, including the ice arena, Park City library, golf club, and more.

Camp Gloss
This camp aims to address the complex paradigm of success and life-fulfillment for young women through an experiential, supportive, and collaborative learning environment. Camp GLOSS is named after five foundational pillars of success including: Grit, Leadership, Opportunity, Service, and Self-Awareness.

TEEN WRITING WORKSHOP: Ages 13-18
July 9-13, 9am-3pm @ Miner’s Hospital / $200
Students will experiment with various forms of dramatic narrative including spoken word, slam poetry, allegory, monologue, and traditional scenes to create a thematically related collection of vignettes for individual and group performance.
FILM CAMPS:
Ages 10-12 : June 11-15 I July 9-13 I July 16-20 l August 6-10
Ages 13-18: July 23-27
9am-3pm @ Egyptian Theatre / $275
Concept to creative, and production to premiere, all in five days. Experience what it is like to work on a real film production, both in front of and behind the cameras. Learn about storyline, visual effects, lighting techniques, sound capture, the usage of camera equipment, and film-production lingo. Films premiere at the Egyptian Theatre.
MUSICAL THEATRE REVIEW- “This is Me”: Ages 13-18
July 16-20, 9am-3pm @ Miner’s Hospital / $240
We pick songs from the wonderful world of musical theatre on the theme “This is Me!” and you spend the week rehearsing music and choreography to perform on Egyptian Theatre stage at the end-of-week showcase!
IMPROV WORKSHOP: Ages 13-18
August 13-15, 9am-3pm @ Miner’s Hospital / $175
Hone your timing, focus, and use of the essential “Yes, and...” skills critical to performing your Improv best!

Ice Skating
Basic Skating Camp
July 30 - August 3; 9am - 12pm
Skaters at least 4 years of age (up to 12 years of age) and of all levels are welcome as long as they have taken group skating classes, private lessons or skate regularly on their own and can skate comfortably without assistance. This camp has a recreational focus.
Fees: $190, the price increases on July 16 to $210.
Skating Academy - Summer Classes
Monday and Wednesday: 5:30 - 6:15pm
Early Summer Session: June 18, 20, 25, 27
Mid-Summer Session: July 9, 11, 16, 18
Late Summer Session: August 6, 8, 13, 15
Included in Skating Academy Class Registrations:
All Skating Academy classes include six (6) on ice lessons with weekly practice time. Skate rental is included.
Students will also receive a Skating Academy punch card on their account for six (6) public skate sessions with skate rental.
